Welcome to 9th Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining - FEM 2013
FEM 2013 will take place on 29-31 October 2013 (Tuesday-Thursday) at Levi, Lapland, Finland.
The biannual FEM conference has grown to be one of the biggest and the most important mineral industry events in Europe, focusing on exploration and mining development in the Fennoscandian Shield.
Why Fennoscandia?
Europe's richest ore reserve domain has seen an enormous increase in mining activities and mineral exploration during the last few years.
Companies have invested record sums in the search for base metals
and precious metals. Several mine projects are active and new mines
have been opened. The Fennoscandian Shield offers great potential
for new discoveries!
FEM gives an opportunity for people from exploration, mining, consulting companies, academia, investors, governments, geological surveys, and the service sector to meet and network in pleasant surroundings.
Conference Venue
The Levi Summit Conference Centre provides an excellent venue for FEM. It is located in the Levi Ski Resort of Kittilä municipality where you can visit an active mining district and enjoy beautiful landscapes during your stay.
