Welcome to 8th Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining - FEM 2011

FEM 2011 will take place 1-3 November 2011 (Tuesday-Thursday) at Levi, Lapland, Finland.

The FEM conference is held every other year, and it has become one of the most important of its kind in Europe.

The conference venue is Levi Summit Conference Centre located in Levi in the Municipality of Kittilä, in the heart of the most active mining area in European Union. Levi Summit offers a unique and a first class venue for the conference.

Companies active or interested in working in Fennoscandia regard the FEM conference essential for conveying their message, networking, making new contacts, learning about the mineral potential of the area, and obtaining an understanding of the operational aspects in this part of the world.

Mineral Exploration Boom in Fennoscandia

The Fennoscandian Shield with resources and proven potential is the most prospective ground in Europe. However there are under-explored geological formations for a number of commodities such as base metals, gold, platinum group metals, iron ore, and diamonds.

Fennoscandia also offers

  • good infrastructure
  • good legal framework
  • excellent geodata
  • favourable and secure investment environment
  • processing capacity for many minerals

Come and share with us the cordial FEM atmosphere!
