XRD and XRF are both used in materials characterization. XRD is used for the structural analysis, such as fast phase identification and automatic quantification of different minerals in ores and XRF is used for grade control, quality control and analysis of final products of materials varying from drill cores, pulps, powders, pressed pellets to glass beads. NIR equipment is widely used in exploration and QC and PTFNA is used for elemental analysis directly from the conveyor belt for e.g. Ni, Cu, Fe ores and many more. Particle size analysers are used in determining e.g. the right milling time to enhance flotation process and to reduce costs involved in milling. There is a wide range of business that can benefit from using PANalytical instrumentation, e.g. mining, metals and steel, cement, industrial minerals and many more. PANalytical also produces customer-tailored automation projects e.g. in mining laboratories, customer spesific drill core analysers, ore sorting etc. PANalytical B.V. is part of Spectris plc. Spectris employs over 8500 people worldwide and has presence in over 60 countries." | |
